"Salt Mirror and Petroleum Formation" – 40 Years in Retrospect and Qanat Karez Mineral Leaching Technology

David Bloch, R&D, Salt Archive, Tel Aviv, Israel

The world is no longer at risk of running out of oil.

The dearth of discoveries of new oil and gas deposits over very recent decades have made this form of energy relatively suddenly cheap and available.  In addition the prospect
of a monopoly which had threatened to repeat a previous malicious monopoly of salt, has given way to a world of relatively free commerce and globalization.

M.R.Bloch at a 1973 World Symposium of Salt Transformed the accepted thinking of  limited Oil and gas deposits.

Today deposits of precious metals and chemicals needed for future industrial uses appear to be limited in supply and are threatening  to create monopoly conditions for the cemical industry. Salt mirror technology of leaching these deposits by use of an ancient Qanat system and solution mining are in in the hands of the next generation's attempt to create yet another potential monopoly
