Dr. Shulamit Levin has more than 36 years of experience in analytical chemistry, especially LC (HPLC and U-HPLC) and LC-MS.  She is the scientific consultant of Waters Israel, and acts as Waters’ Chemistry, Instrumentation and Software specialist in Israel. 

She has been coaching, supporting, training and mentoring analytical chemists at the pharmaceutical industry in Israel in various aspects of HPLC analysis: chemistry, instrumentation, regulation and informatics.  Among the pharmaceutical companies analytical teams she has trained and coached are: Teva Pharmaceuticals (Abic, Planterx, Assia, Jerusalem, Kfar-Saba, TevaTech), Taro Pharmaceuticals, Trima, Vitamed, Perrigo Pharma and API, Rafa, Sigma Israel, InterPharm (Former Serono Israel) and Biotechnology-General (Ferring Israel) and many more.   

She is a graduate of PhD from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Analytical Chemistry (1986), had a post doctoral work at the University of Utah at the Analytical Chemistry department (1988), then she served for 7 years as a faculty member at the School of Pharmacy, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem (1989-1996), where she still teaches a course in HPLC.  She also teaches HPLC for graduate students at the Weizmann Institute of Sciences.  She is the author of dozens of articles and chapters in books, as well as the world’s popular educational website on HPLC: http://www.forumsci.co.il/hplc (author and webmaster).

Dr. Levin has been one of the founders and committee members of the Israeli Analytical Chemistry Society and organized the 2011 and 2014 Isranalytica Meetings.
