The ISRANALYTICA 2013 Conference and Exhibition, the 16th Annual Meeting of the Israel Analytical Chemistry Society, took place on January 30th – 31th, 2013, at the David Intercontinental Hotel, Tel-Aviv, Israel.
The annual meetings of the Israel Analytical Chemical Society have become some of the largest annual analytical chemistry conferences in the world. This year, we are proud to announce that we have broken all previous records of numbers of with 1250 people participating in the conference, and 1876 attending the exhibition.
ISRANALYTICA has been recognized by the International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE), and the Cooperation for International Traceability in Analytical Chemistry (CITAC)
The Exhibition
Isranalytica exhibition is the largest analytical chemistry exhibition in Israel. This year, the event included all the major companies, suppliers and service companies in Israel. Its large venue enabled a perfect atmosphere for networking and sharing new ideas.
The scientific program in 2013 included 4 plenary lectures, 12 keynote lectures, 61 lectures delivered by top international scientists, a special video conference session delivered by Dr Davit of the FDA, and a poster session.
Three prestigious poster awards were granted by the Organizing Committee to outstanding posters in the general assembly of the Israel Analytical Chemistry Society:
ACS Medal for Excellence in Chemistry and The Yinon Award
On the first day of the conference, the IACS Medal for Excellence in Chemistry and The Yinon Award were Granted
Israel Analytical Chemistry Society Award in memory of Dr. Jehuda Yinon Is granted to Tomer Noyhouzer for his research on New Electrochemical Flow Cell for Remote Sensing of Heavy Metals
ACS Medal for Excellence in Chemistry Is granted to Professor Chaim N. Yarnitzky For his contribution To the Advancement of Analytical Chemistry in Israel
Best service supplier of the year This year we the “best service supplier of the year” award, determined by a vote among participants, was awarded to Dr. Golik. All vendors were nominated for this award and participants voted online.
Satellite Courses Two satellite courses were offered to the general public:
Capital Equipment A course on one of the biggest investments made by manufacturers, given by leading experts from relevant companies.
Workshop on Human Errors and Out-of-Specification Test Results
In the first event of its kind to be held in Israel, a team of leading experts from around the world brought their knowledge to a crowd of over 70 participants in one of our most successful satellite events ever.
Career Fair The exhibition included a career fairwhere 7 companies; 2 manpower firms, 4 industrial companies, and The Ministry of Immigration Absorption agencies offered their open career opportunities.
At the end of the career fair a tablet was raffled between the participants
Bioforum, the longstanding organizers and producers of Isranalytica, sponsored a beautiful café, offering comfortable lounge areas for networking or just plain catching up with colleagues.
Entertainment and Social Events: Get together Isranalytica 2013 kicked off with a social get-together dinner, hosting overseas guests. This traditional dinner is always a great ice-breaker for newcomers and old friends alike.
Festive Dinner The tradition festive annual dinner, attended by the Organizing Committee and plenary lecturers, was held on the second night of Isranalytica 2013. Entertainment was provided by FAWA, a guitar-vocals duo.
The summing meeting of the scientific committee The meeting of the scientific committee and Bioforum presenters was held at the end of the conference. The achievements of this conference were discusses alongside with changes and progress that will take place next year.
