Decontamination of hazardous chemicals and neutralization of microorganisms require an effective decontaminant, as well as sufficient contact time. This is even more important when dealing with vertical surfaces, on which most liquid decontaminants tend to run off. During the last few years we have performed a complete research and development program, for the design and production of a novel decontaminant, based on household bleach, exhibiting thixotropic characteristics. The novel decontamination solution may be applied both for homeland security and for household use.
