Uniformity in Complex Gas AnalysisJos Curvers, R&D, Scion Instrments, Goes, The Netherlands In gas analysis the number of components to determine are limited, yet the variation in samples composition is enormous. This results in a range of gas chromatography instrument configurations in use in the petro-chemical lab for the qualitative and quantitative determination of gas samples. In recent years we have put a lot of effort in reducing the number of configurations, allowing one single instrument configuration to perform gas analysis of different samples. From natural gas to process gas, from pure gases to refinery gas. Considerations for various optimizations will be discussed and results presented with focus on separation
efficiency and speed of analysis. |
