Early detection of malignancies significantly enhances survival rates, minimizes the need for prolonged and invasive treatments, and reduces healthcare costs. SpotitEarly (SIE) is pioneering a transformative approach to cancer screening by merging the unique capabilities of Canine Intelligence (CI) with cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI). Our novel screening technology provides an easy-to-use and affordable testing method, making routine cancer screenings more accessible and encouraging early diagnosis.
Cancer-specific volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are detected by trained canines, using their acute olfactory senses, while SIE’s technology platform monitors their performance, and calibrates and analyzes the lab results through AI algorithms. This integration allows for the rapid processing of complex chemical data, making it possible to identify even minute changes in biomarker profiles associated with various cancers. SIE’s platform leverages high-throughput analytical methods, including gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and advanced data analytics, both for validating canine-detected biomarkers and optimize accuracy and reproducibility.
By presenting our findings and methodology, we aim to demonstrate how advancements in analytical chemistry can bridge the gap between traditional diagnostic tools and next-generation, non-invasive cancer detection methods. Our technology not only improves the customer experience for cancer screening but also sets a new standard in the use of analytical chemistry to drive healthcare innovation.
