A contrarian view of Testing under US Drinking Water Regulations – are we spending our resources wisely?

Andy Eaton, PhD, BCES has a PhD from Harvard University in marine geochemistry and did postdoctoral work at CalTech.  His focus has been on new analytical methods for potable water and review of large data sets.  He  has been working at Eurofins Eaton Analytical (EEA), Inc (formerly MWH Labs) for nearly 40 years.    At EEA, as Technical Director, he is responsible for keeping the lab focused on emerging contaminant issues, new market areas, and regulatory developments.   In addition to his direct responsibilities at EEA, he serves as a member of the Joint Editorial Board of Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater, Chair of the Editorial Board of the Journal of the American Water Works Association, the Board of Directors of the International Bottled Water Association, and is involved in numerous industry and state workgroups looking at the impact of new regulations related to potable water
