Aviv Amirav is a professor of chemistry at Tel Aviv University and the Director of Aviv Analytical LTD.
Professor Amirav is the author and co-author of 172 peer review publications and the inventor of 18 patents including on the commercially available Pulsed Flame Photometric Detector, ChromatoProbe Sample Introduction Device, SnifProbe, Isotope Abundance Analysis software and GC-MS with Supersonic Molecular Beams (Cold EI).
He was awarded the International Merck Prize (1993) and HTC award (2002) for his contributions to analytical chemistry.
His current research focus is on Mass Spectrometry Instrument Development including: Electron Ionization LC-MS with Supersonic Molecular Beams, GC-MS with Supersonic Molecular Beams (Cold EI), Unified EI-LC-MS and GC-MS system, Isotope Abundance Analysis, Fast GC-MS, Open Probe Fast GC-MS, Pulsed Flow Modulation GCxGC-MS and their novel optimal methods of operation.
At Aviv Analytical the main emphasis is on bringing to the market well performing GC-MS with Cold EI, Electron Ionization LC-MS with SMB, Open Probe Fast GC-MS and their enhancement technologies. Forty six detailed GC-MS with Cold EI applications were published by Amirav at the Advanced GC-MS Blog Journal blog.avivanalytical/com
