Language: The official language of the conference is English
Climate: The weather in Tel Aviv in January is cool and pleasant during the day and cooler in the evenings. Temperatures range from 10 ° to 20 °C, and rain is possible.
Clothing: Informal for all occasions.
Electricity: Equipment in Israel is 220 volt A.C., single phase, 50 cycles. Some devices require an adapter (can be purchased locally).
Sound and Visual Options: Microsoft Office ™ is used and PowerPoint presentations are mandatory (supports all versions). A PC and projectors will be provided.

Transportation

From the Hahagana train station Tel Aviv: Dan bus  line no. 16.
From the Arlozerov train station Tel Aviv: take Dan bus line no. 61 or 66.
From the central bus station Tel Aviv: Dan bus lines 16,17 & 31.
All Dan bus lines that stops at the Carmelit station are 5 minutes walk from the conference.

Parking:

Parking in the hotel: 80 NIS all day
There is a possibility to receive discount parking coupon at the registration booth. The no. of the coupons are limited.
At the vicinity of the hotel there are parking areas in prices between 15-30 Nis per day.

The General Assembly of the Israel Analytical Chemistry Society:

The general assembly of the Israel Analytical Chemistry Society will take place on the first day of the conference (January 24, 2017). This assembly will include a discussion about issues related to the society and decisions regarding its activities. Any changes to this date will be published in the scientific program.

Visas:

Residents of most counties do not need entry visas to Israel. However, please check the matter with relevant local authorities. Please do note, all issues regarding visas are the sole responsibility of the participant. The conference organizers will issue a letter confirming registration but are unable, due to legal reasons, to assist in acquiring the visa. Conference fees are non-refundable on grounds of visa refusal.

Exhibition:

The 20th Annual Exhibition of the Analytical Chemistry Society will be set up in conjunction with the conference. The exhibition will provide a stage for instrumentation, equipment, chemicals, materials, publications and services of analytical chemistry, diagnostics and biotechnology and is expected to be highly successful.

Conference Kit and Name Tag

Upon registration to the conference you will receive your conference kit containing the material of the conference, name tag and voucher for lunch. This is valid for conference registrants only; visitors to the exhibition will receive a name tag. Please wear your name tag to all sessions and social events.

Airport Information

Ben Gurion International Airport is Israel's main international airport. It is situated approximately 25km (16 miles) south-east of Tel Aviv. The journey to Tel Aviv is approximately 30 minutes.

    The Taxi companies at Ben Gurion Airport operate under supervision of the Israel Airports Authority.
    The Taxi Stations and dispatcher's counter at Terminal 3 are located on Level G of the Multi Level Road.
