Dr. Bakimer has over 20 years of manufacturing and operations experience in the biotech industry and cellular therapy.
In 2008 Dr. Bakimer has established the operations of Cognate Bioservices Israel, a Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO), and since, serves as the company's CEO.
Prior to joining Cognate, Dr. Bakimer was the Director of Cell Therapy at Proneuron Biotechnologies, taking a lead part in developing the investigational cellular product from the bench to an international phase II clinical trial.
