Dr. Jonathan M. Auerbach

Jonathan serves as the Chief Technology Officer of MTI-GlobalStem. Jonathan is the founder of GlobalStem, which was formed in 2006. Prior to this, he established a new stem cell center at the American Type Culture Collection (ATCC). Jonathan was previously Chair of The International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) Standards Committee and a member of the ISSCR Task Force to establish guidelines for the conduct of human embryonic stem cell research.  He was a postdoctoral fellow at NIH, NINDS Laboratory of Molecular Biology from where  he  researched the functional integration of stem cell-derived neurons into the developing brain, and has over 20 research papers and book chapters in stem cell and neuroscience research. Jonathan received a BS degree from Northwestern University in Neurobiology and Physiology, a M.Sc. in Neurobiochemistry from Tel Aviv University and a Ph.D. in Neurobiology from the Weizmann Institute of Science.
